The team

Christophe Manesse and his wife Barbara created Amis des Maldives in 2009. On the boat, "Chris" welcomes you surrounded by a team of 3 to 4 dive guides depending on the time of year.

It is in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, accompanied by a Maldivian, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi crew that we will welcome you to make your stay with us an unforgettable cruise.

The boat

Your floating hotel, the Ocean One, offers all the services and facilities for your comfort and for the safety of passengers. It is 37 meters long and 12 meters wide. Each of the 3 decks offers you spacious and comfortable common areas, shaded and equipped with deckchairs, hammocks, mattresses and Jacuzzi.

The Ocean One has an open bar on the second floor aft deck with darts and access to the sun deck, an indoor and outdoor restaurant on the shaded aft deck and open to the ocean.

A second boat called “Dhoni” accompanies us. Autonomous and safe, it has been entirely designed and equipped for the practice of scuba diving.

At your disposal also an annex for the descents on land (deserted islands, fishing islands) and various activities such as snorkeling and fishing.
To enhance your stay, we are equipped with several paddles, canoes and kayaks.

LIFE ON BOARD

With Friends of the Maldives, the cruise is a lot of diving but not only!

3 dives per day are offered but they are not compulsory. The generous meals consist of local and European specialties, freshly caught fish is often on the menu. On board, there is no shortage of spaces to relax.

We also offer activities such as descent on islands, swimming or snorkeling in the lagoons, canoe or paddle rides or fishing. At aperitif time, regularly, close to our rear platform, sharks, dolphins and rays put on a show, for your greatest pleasure. In the evening we also offer musical evenings, themed evenings, barbecues, games, or jacuzzi evenings.
